HISTORY:
Complete
Body® Development began with the vision and determination
of one man: our founder and director Alex Reznik.
Born in Russia, Alex studied nutrition at St. Petersburg University
and soon went on to work as a fitness instructor in the Russian
Army. After training an elite team of soldiers for a
couple of years, he decided to leave the army and come to
the United States.
Once
Alex arrived in the U.S., he attended the East Coast Instructor
Training School, graduating at the top of his class.
Alex holds the prestigious Gold Certificate in Weight Management
from the American Council on Exercise in addition to a certificate
in personal training.
In
1995, Alex founded Complete Body Personal Training (now Complete
Body Development), using the Six Essential ElementsSM
as his ideal. His motto is “No Pain, More Gain.”
He has devoted his time to create a comprehensive system that
embodies the strict regimen of the Russian Army and the beauty
of Eastern exercises. Through his unique approach, Alex
has made many positive changes in the lives of his clients.
The
Complete Body personal training program makes clients healthier
and more physically fit. But Alex and the rest of the
Complete Body staff recognize that optimal health requires
more than just a toned physique.
We
believe that a holistic approach—where the mind and body are
in tune with each other—is the basis for lifelong wellness.
We have found that the ancient Indian holistic tradition of
Ayurveda
is an excellent supplement to personal training.
Consistent with our philosophy of personalized workouts, Ayurveda
recognizes that everyone is unique and thus needs a customized
regimen. By following an Ayurvedic diet and exercise program,
the mind and body are put back into balance, the way they
were meant to be. Complete Body trainers also enrich
their workouts with other holistic principles such as yoga
and tai chi.
Life
coaching is the third link in the Complete Body philosophy.
Our director Alex Reznik discovered the benefits of coaching
firsthand when he hired a coach in the mid-1990s. A coach
is a personal trainer for the mind, encouraging you to achieve
your goals and become more successful. We believe that
a combination of all three programs—personal training, Ayurveda,
and life coaching—will allow clients to live the life they
deserve.
Although
Complete Body is based in New York City, our firm continues
to expand, with trainers and services available around the
world.
