Types of Training

Complete Body specializes in advanced one-on-one services.  Having trainers from around the world, with different specialties, allows clients to be able to explore different areas of fitness depending on their needs and wants.

Yoga

A form of mind-body exercise which was first developed more than 5,000 years ago in India. The traditional goal of yoga is unity with the Absolute (Brahman) and unity with oneself (Atman). However, one need not achieve such spiritual goals to reap some of yoga’s physical and psychological benefits. Yoga can increase muscle tone and improve your posture, while at the same time reducing stress. There are four paths in yoga, covering such bases as knowledge and wisdom, devotion, action; and self-control. Some widely practiced types of yoga include hatha yoga, which focuses on breathing and posture, and ashtanga yoga, a more strenuous workout. Complete Body® Development can incorporate yoga into your customized workout routine.

Pilates

Pilates (pronounced pi-LAH-tees) is an exercise method incorporating the best aspects of both Western and Eastern thought. The seven chief principles of Pilates are Centering, Alignment, Breathing, Control, Precision, Flowing Movement, and Relaxation. With a Complete Body® Pilates trainer, you will learn each principle and develop greater strength, endurance, and cardiovascular health. Our trainers use special Pilates equipment, incorporating spring and gravity resistance, to give you an effective workout.

Tai Chi

Complete Body® employs trainers experienced in Tai Chi, an ancient form of Chinese mind-body exercise. Tai chi can enhance all kinds of physical and mental performance as well as combat the effects of fatigue, repetitive strain injuries and other physical ailments brought on by today’s high pressure work and study environments. Our Tai Chi trainers will evaluate your health and exercise needs and design a challenging workout incorporating the principles of Tai Chi.

Martial Arts

Martial arts are systems of codified practices and traditions of training for combat. Some martial arts are linked to spiritual or religious beliefs/philosophies such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism or Shinto, Confucianism while others have their own spiritual or non-spiritual code of honor. Complete Body® trainers can help you better protect yourself by perfect striking, grappling, and weapon skills. By incorporating martial arts training you will be improving your cardiovascular conditioning, muscular endurance, and overall power.

Kettlebell

The kettlebell or girya (Russian: гиря) is a traditional Russian cast iron weight looking somewhat like a cannonball with a handle. Kettlebell workouts with Complete Body® trainers are intended to increase strength, endurance, agility and balance, challenging both the muscular and cardiovascular system with dynamic, total-body movements.

Pre/Postnatal

A woman’s body goes through many changes—both before and after childbirth. The prenatal and postnatal training services offered by Complete Body® can help you keep your strength and posture. Our prenatal and postnatal training focuses on improving your abdominal and pelvic stabilization, while at the same time enhancing your physical fitness.

Sports Specific

No matter what your sport, Complete Body® trainers can improve your performance. Our specialized training will not only improve your game, but also improve your ability to handle the imposed demands of the sport. From tennis to basketball, golf to cross-country running, Complete Body® can help you become a better athlete, through our one-on-one personal training.

Aquatic

The low-impact aquatic training offered by Complete Body® at our various club locations has a variety of benefits. It can be used for rehabilitation or to increase your strength, enhance your endurance, aid in weight loss, and strengthen your joints. Aquatic training has also been shown to help fibromyalgia, a chronic aching of the joints. Aquatic trainers at Complete Body® are officially certified in Aquatic Personal & Fitness Training.

Stretching

A Complete Body® workout isn’t over until you’ve had the chance to stretch. After your workout is done, our trainers will help you stretch all your important muscles. Stretching relaxes the mind and body, taking away soreness and tension as well as reducing the risk of injury.
